Souvenirs

I think my photo today is more attract to the tourist and not the city daily photo community but hey,who knows one day you will be come tourist in Cologne.So,I decided to choose this photo just to show a piece of plenty choices of souvenir you can find in Cologne beside the postcard. I know,perhaps this is absolutely not your taste of souvenir (not mine either) but as I said you have plenty of choices in Cologne.This is still in Hohe Strasse right next to The DOM (Cathedral) that I've posted while ago.

And this plenty of sort of candies will be found also in public event in Germany.Yesterday photo and today photo were from the annual fireworks shows in Cologne which I posted last month. Sorry that I took from the side as I stayed in queued and the candies that would be a bit more than others that mixed inside my paper bag were Liquorice Candies. Well,sweet people out there which sort of candies would you mix more or do you love candy too?

In all public event in Germany,this kind of food will never be absent. Grill sausages and grill fresh meat and as friends to them will be "Brötchen" the unsalted bread or potatoes and French fries and not to forget,mustard or ketchup to be added.

At Schildergasse

Here is another street musician but this one,his market is only for kids.As you can see,this cute girl was his customer but his idea is to make interactive with his customer instead of only drop a coin and walk away.The song he plays attracted the adult as well caused it reminds and brings back again to their childhood or to their own kids who already fly out from the nets (adults) and of course for the grandparents of their grandchildren who may have not seen for quite some time.

Gelato,Gelati...

Hmmm...We love Ice Cream too and can't wait for our turned on those hot days and this one was not so crowded,so we decided to stay in queue.Most of Ice Cream in Cologne are Italian one and for us they are still the best Ice cream maker and it is still hand-made Ice Cream.
Well,let's talk about Ice cream while our mouth waters.Here what I found in Wiki for "Ice Cream".
When the winter end,most of the Ice Cream cafe or like one on photo are crowded but we do consume ice cream in winter too,so,the Italian Ice cream maker is not totally close for winter.And what kind of Ice Cream that people at your place prefer the most?

Rhine Park

This can be found in Cologne Family Park called "Rhine Park" which posted last month on this day and that day, to sightseeing around,better take this cute little train when you don't want to get "melted butter" ;o) (sweating) ;o) on your body caused get toasted by the heat of sun.

My hall of Fame

So...people,this was what people in Cologne sees annually in Summer beside the others annually Event that Cologne city has to offer and this one which came up good from my "not little" attempted,my old pal *Sony* did made me happy :o) when we were not so lucky with our viewing position this year ;o)

Fun Saturday

What was look like on Saturday when people waiting for the Fireworks shows.Actually,It always begins late around 11.30 pm caused has to wait until dark falls but to get a perfect location will not be easy.So,people with their family will come very early on location such as this part where I've posted last month and waited all day long.We weren't lucky for this year caused seems like this year was overloaded than years before :o( I haven't upload yet ,my Fireworks snap shot and don't have file from years before caused never think to take a photo of Fireworks ;o) but since I joined City Daily Photo Community,I'm happy to share what people in my town sees every year.So,in meantime PLEASE enjoy the crowded ;o)

The View

Last month when the weather was glorious,We saw these fun painting competition on our way to Rhine Park.As seen they tried to draw the Cathedral and the bridge which are the proudly Cologne's mark.For actual report,Cologne sky and the weather is getting friendly since Sunday ˜what a lucky for the gay parade "CSD" Christopher Street Day that held every year˜ and very sorry for my absent as we had visitor.

Man in Blue

This photo actually made before the Blue Sheep that caught my eyes in Rhine Park which I posted around 2 weeks ago but today this man in BLUE caught my eyes in my iPhoto files.So, I chose it for my today post ;o) ...Wonder if he copied The Sheep ;o)

The Colour RED

In Cologne,we have a significant color of road for the bicycler and is in RED! Still in Rhine Park

Hope you don't get bored if today we're still hang around in the park. To see those kids play,I wish I was on their age ;o) Having FUN! ;o) I don't know what should this game called, 'A Football Ring'? but this came up from the idea of Table Football (Well,I google sometimes if I've time ;o)

In Rhine Park

We were in Cologne's Family Park last Sunday and it was Children Nature Fun Program. One thing from this HUGE park attracted our attention as we haven't seen yet in our life "A Blue Sheep". Sure, this is an art but we couldn't find any information about it. Anyway, We found they are sooo CUTE ;o)

Pelargoniumzonale

Yesterday when we got back home,it was local rain (only in our neighbourhood).We were surprised and amazed by the nature game as we live not too far from down town. So this is not a morning dew on our Geranium but it was rain.
But we were more amazed of a very cute,adorable and talented little girl who we saw in our local news and made a search in youtube to share with you all about her. Well,Ladies and Gentleman, please BIG applauds for Connie Talbot

And here is the other public attraction held in front of Der Dom (The Cathedral) and this time right close to the wall of Der Dom. I just realized when I'm about to post this photo for today whether it wasn't very hot for him inside this costume as it was very hot day.

Street Painter

Different kind of attractions would be find in front of the Cathedral -Der Dom- and one of them is this kind of Painter.Most of them will draw a copy of famous painting and I can say the result is always PERFECT.

Jumping Stilts

Finally,I had my camera with me when I saw this Poweriser. But I wonder how is feel like being on it? Would I have my balance still? I've never try before :o) from my past life till now :o) This guy was tried to climb up the stairs behind him instead of straight up jumping on and he was very cooperate with me and my tiny Digi Camera. This was behind 'Der Dom' (The Cathedral). Here some information from Wiki about jumping Stilts or more famous and familiar as Poweriser.

Fishing in Rhine

When get a license and permission for fishing than you can do like these two gentleman did under the Hohenzollern bruecke (the bridge),fishing by the river bank or anywhere as long as there are fishes and in Rhine river :o)

Another street life and this one is the same shopping street (Hohe Strasse) from my night shot which I posted last Sunday. Hope I spell it right,this instrument called 'Dijereedo' The Australian can correct my spelling ;o) Please!

I'm so sorry,I couldn't hang out long here and give my comment on my visit to all over world via my mouse click like i used to do caused I don't feel good for last 2 days and now I've to visit my doctor and thank you so much for the nice commented,I will catch all back when I 'm back in well condition.I will able to post only for meantime.Thanks!

Motorbike?

Hmmm...for me if I ride motorbike means a 'REAL' motorbike and not like this style.It's quite many to find people ride this kind of motorbike nowadays in Cologne. I found this style is not macho at all (Forgive me but that's my opinion) I haven't seen yet woman ride this one but my opinion is more match to woman. But to be honest,the style look cool and comfortable than 'REAL' motorbike ;o) Well,what do you think ladies and gentleman out there? ;o)
