Mayersche bookstore

I just wanted to show how cosy is inside and specially when you don't have umbrella with you.We have usually dry Summer,that's why hard to predict this year Summer with not so often 3-5 minutes little shower.Sorry,if I only shows the legs as I don't wanted to disturb their peaceful moment.Notice,mine is not here ;o)

Neumarkt

I felt lucky when I saw outside is raining and I was in a very cosy book store,about to leave after found and bought some interesting books but didn't have umbrella with me.We just have back our hot summer with more than 30°C but now since 2 days is raining. This is "Neumarkt" area (New Mark),cars behind the tree are our taxi in Cologne,the stairs is heading down to underground station and very left is shopping passage "Schildergasse" where I ever took this photo

I found this advertisement from our Energy provider is interesting.The Slogan is,it always there every where for us to provide the energy and at the same time it was also a campaign for save energy. But,I found that people on that banner are only male. Are they tried to show man behavior or men behavior? ;o)

This the RED thing that I supposed to post on this month theme day but It was still in my camera.This is a newspaper box as you can see it but not a newspaper for stock exchange,business,economy or any serious news to develop a knowledge.It's just a news that for some people,they will called 'rubbish' but for some others is quite entertain them to find out that an artist just has a new boyfriend and he was a Porn Star ;o) that's what it meant for the right box headline. For more info the left one is the old box edition and the right one is the new box,that's why they looks different but with same price for 50 cent ;o)

Hmmm...We love Ice Cream too and can't wait for our turned on those hot days and this one was not so crowded,so we decided to stay in queue.Most of Ice Cream in Cologne are Italian one and for us they are still the best Ice cream maker and it is still hand-made Ice Cream.
Well,let's talk about Ice cream while our mouth waters.Here what I found in Wiki for "Ice Cream".
When the winter end,most of the Ice Cream cafe or like one on photo are crowded but we do consume ice cream in winter too,so,the Italian Ice cream maker is not totally close for winter.And what kind of Ice Cream that people at your place prefer the most?

Rhine Park

This can be found in Cologne Family Park called "Rhine Park" which posted last month on this day and that day, to sightseeing around,better take this cute little train when you don't want to get "melted butter" ;o) (sweating) ;o) on your body caused get toasted by the heat of sun.

European's brownies

Since we have glorious Summer,this kind of Saloon I reckon get less and less customer or could be the customer who don't have holiday do still come here and get their tan as well as imagine that they just got back from California ;o)
This is one of plenty "Sun Studio" in Cologne where you can get your tan in the tube called Solarium Machine :???: We prefer the REAL Sun :o)

So...people,this was what people in Cologne sees annually in Summer beside the others annually Event that Cologne city has to offer and this one which came up good from my "not little" attempted,my old pal *Sony* did made me happy :o) when we were not so lucky with our viewing position this year ;o)

Fun Saturday

What was look like on Saturday when people waiting for the Fireworks shows.Actually,It always begins late around 11.30 pm caused has to wait until dark falls but to get a perfect location will not be easy.So,people with their family will come very early on location such as this part where I've posted last month and waited all day long.We weren't lucky for this year caused seems like this year was overloaded than years before :o( I haven't upload yet ,my Fireworks snap shot and don't have file from years before caused never think to take a photo of Fireworks ;o) but since I joined City Daily Photo Community,I'm happy to share what people in my town sees every year.So,in meantime PLEASE enjoy the crowded ;o)

Candle Corner #2

From the main entrance turn right and you will find this little corner.Most tourist once they step inside will less notice this corner caused they already fascinated with look straight-front from my posted last Tuesday or look up on the ceiling of the Cathedral.

From yesterday,this what is look like in all.The white statue in glass case is the Holy Maria with Her Holy son in Her arm.

Candles Corner

Light a candle and set a pray that's what people do in this Candle Corner for wishing, thankful, etc. The silver bowl is where to put the money donation for the new candle from the middle where the woman stand. There are 3 candle corners inside this Cathedral and this is the main one.You will see tomorrow this corner in all.

Three Holy Kings

This is the most reason for tourist to get inside the Cathedral beside of course the beauty of the Cathedral itself.Inside this Golden box or Coffin believes lay the bones of the three Holy Kings and here is the close-up photo.

The Inside

I finally made a snap shot of the Cathedral from inside and I hope you guys who ever wish to see the interior find my photo result good enough :o) as I've said that I have only my old buddy Sony which is too small for this HUGE Cathedral.So,from today on,I will show you around the Cathedral from inside and this is the main entrance.

The View

Last month when the weather was glorious,We saw these fun painting competition on our way to Rhine Park.As seen they tried to draw the Cathedral and the bridge which are the proudly Cologne's mark.For actual report,Cologne sky and the weather is getting friendly since Sunday ˜what a lucky for the gay parade "CSD" Christopher Street Day that held every year˜ and very sorry for my absent as we had visitor.
